The Shortwave Database window provides for easy tuning of shortwave radio broadcasting stations. A copy of the database named ilgsteng.txt is shipped with Ham Radio Deluxe and, with my installation, resides in the Default sub directory. You can download an update free for non-commercial consumers by clicking on the Home button provided in the window. Once downloaded, you use the Open button to open and use it.

The data is displayed in columns headed (from left to right) Station, Frequency, Times UTC, Language, Location, Country, Target, Status and Remark. If you click on any column heading, the data will be sorted by that column.

A single click on any of the entries in the window will tune the radio to that frequency.
Open Button - Use this button to open the database text file if it hasn't already been opened. The program remembers the location of the file once opened. You can also open an alternative file if you have one.
Home Button - This button will connect you to the Internet so that you can download an update for your data file.
AM Button - Forces Ham Radio Deluxe to switch the radio into AM mode.
